one more thng folks who dont get visa for mle they like to go through GRE

mean usually they take mph one thng in my mind y only mph other courses also there patho,,forensics etc then y only mph.cn u please tell me sir?? |
Hi Again,
people prefer MPH over other subjects due to the following reasons:
1. Other masters courses are 2 yrs durations while many of mph colleges offer just 1 yr or less duration course.
2. you need a prior experiance in other master level course, while its ok for a mbbs to do mph.
3. Master level courses need some prior research experinace which is good if you have for mph but not very essential.
4. Less duration course hence fees is less and you can concentrate easily on USMLE
.
Though there are a lot many reasons these are few of the main ones. Hope this much helps.

New students can enter US 4 months before classes
In a major relief in the visa regime for students, the US on Wednesday ruled students can enter the country 120 days before the start of their classes.
So far, students were issued US visas 90 days before the start of classes. The State Department said the new rules apply to students applying for the initial-entry F-1 (academic student), F-2 (spouse or child of F-1), M-1 (vocational training) and M-2 (spouse or child of M-1) visas. J-1 and J-2 visitors may be issued visas at any time before the beginning of their programmes.
Continuing students may apply for new F or M visas at any time, as long as they have maintained their student status and their Student and Exchange Visitor Information (SEVIS) records are current, it said.
The measure is part of the Rice-Chertoff joint vision for secure borders and open doors in the information age, a plan to welcome visitors to the US without compromising security.

hi advisor....
thanx for all the advice u've given so far... it really helped me....
so according to wot u've said above, i could take a visa interview date as soon as i get my i-20? as in i dont need to wait? also if i can enter the US prior to the start of my classes, is it mandatory that i stay on/around campus? Can i go visiting relatives elsewhere in the US, say a month prior to starting classes?
thanx
p.s. i really like ur signature

Hi Sybarite,
Thank you for your kind comments and your compliment on my signature. What i feel is that you can judge a person on internet forums by the signature he keeps!
Also like you short and thought provoking signature. Am also glad the information given out by me was of some little help to you.
Earlier you could not apply for a visa for F1 before 90 days of your course start date. But now that limit has been extended for 120 days. Which means you can apply for US visa 120 days in advance.
Once you are in US, it will depend on the type of visa that you have, a multiple port entry or a single port entry. In the meanwhile you will have to get registered at the port of entry as well as inform the internation gradute office of the college, then only proceed to meet up with your relatives in the US.
Hope this much helps.

Hi Subha_savee,
Nobody likes to make their admits public, as the fear of being recognised on internet and also a fear of the adcoms discovering your posts on internet! So maybe you can ask her this question on a private messenger.

I have got one year ahead of me before i take GRE
. I can devote 2 - 2.5 hours a day. My vocabulary is not very good but i have good quantitative skills. I am also looking for improving my writing skills. Please tell me "an ideal step by step" preparation plan for GRE
based on this. I am looking for doing MS from a top US university.
