Hi advisor, its been a long time since i have been on this forum.
I need to know if cardiac rehab is a course that is beneficial to people like us who are going the GRE -USMLE way. if so, can you give me a list of univs that offer this course? any information would be grateful.

Hi Okram,
Good to know that you are interested in PhD in Microbiology . You have quite competetive stats, but you have not told me about your GRE , TOEFL and academics. I suppose they are good too as your rest of the application, You are very much competetive for the PhD course in Micro in US.
All the best for your future endeavours.

Hi Rajju077,
No idea on the cardiac rehab course and its applied helpfulness in USMLE application. You could get better answers on USMLE forums. Sorry about this one friend.

[quote="diligentself"]I have not studied mathematics since i passed my matriculation (7 years ago) therefore I have forgotten mathematics;

don`t worry abt the math section of <a href="http://www.rxpgonline.com/forum24.html">GRE </a>
. i was in the sam e state as u are a couple of weeks ago. but the good news i s that the ETS guys are basically looking for basic 10th std math knowledge. the concepts are pretty easy to brush up. but i would suggest that u work on the speed
and accuracy with as many practise tests as possible. it helps.
google up wtu.org or .edu (iam not very sure) u`ll find a good free diagnostic CBT math test.

3) shoul i consult one ot two books or many books.
i just did BARRONS for both math and verbal. it was like a bible for me.
there are a number of books as u said and as advisor has mentioned in the same thread. u can choose a/t ur convenience.

4) Plz give me some information regarding scope of doing MSc/PhD in micro

sorry, no info on that as i am looking at MPH or MS nutrtion

i m doin my M.D PSM can i apply for Ph.D in epidemiology or Biostatistics ??

Hi Atharvaa,
Yes you could write to the school programs you are interested in and ask them if the MD PSM is fine with them or not?!
Few schools still prefer that you do the MPH and then cruise along the DrPH or PhD lines.
But its entirely upto the program to decide if your qualification can guarantee you a PhD seat. It would certainly help if have some work experiance and good projects, research and national seminars on your CV.
