1. 'A' fibres: myelinated somatic nerves,
2. 'B' fibres: myelinated preganglionic autonomic nerves, and
3. 'C' fibres: fine non-myelinated axons.

'A' fibres are further divided into alpha, beta, gamma and delta fibres, of decreasing diameter.
