I am using Sify 64Kbps LAN connection in Delhi. always get at least 60 Kbps in download. Rs. 495/month.

Unlimited hours.

in day limit of 150MB download per day in between 8am to 10pm after that unlimited at night. on an avg we use 60-70 MB per day.

its a prepaid connection. they cut validity by one day per 25 MB of download limit exeeded.

I am satisfied. rxpg homepage loads in 4-5 secs

Bsnl gprs works nicely with comps but the prob is data transfer based billing so u'll end up paying 50 rs just for checking ur mail.. ( its 10 paisa per kB i think)

Hutch and Airtel have both unlimited flat rate plans for GPRS surfing
Reliance has also unlimited flat rate plans..

GPRS works with both bluetooth and data cable without any appreciable speed differences... choose whatever fits you.
generally USB based data cables are better option then Serial port ones.

Typical transfer speeds are about 64 kbps...

hi guys......i use airtel gprs Rs 375/month unlimited surfing but speed is veeeeery slooooooow................never got more than 30-32 kbps[default window which appears when connected to airtel gprs shows 115 kbps which is a RUDE JOKE !!]
...but this is still much better than bsnl dialup which i was using earlier......speed used to fluctuate between 15-40 kbps and had to pay on hourly basis which hurts at such a slow speed

i use IrDA to connect my nokia6100 to my notebook[also tried dku cable but it doesn't improve speed]

goergie

to connect ur laptop to 6600 is a good option but the dconnection speed is toooooo slow. in bsnl gprs u may get an actual transfer rate of 3-4 kbs

though the icon may show that the speed is 110kbs

so pls bear in mind the rate of speed

regards
mishan

hi there
i use SIFY broadband 128 kbps unlimited for 449/- it is amazingly fast as compared to triband or cellone ,or vsnl .the servers r running n allare having topend antivirus n foolproof identification for IP adress of the pc on which the connection is .i saw a friend using triband it is pathetic the servers r slow n sometimes down ,n it a gateway4 viruses ,trojans nspyware as there is no ral good protection .
BUT THE REAL THING that is good about sify braodband is that it is a LAN connected network so u can connect to hundreds of ppl in ur local area n share the data at the UNBELIEVABLE SPEED OF 10 MBPS using a software called DC++ ,or IPmessenger n many more .

last month after my final yr i tried sify 256 kbps i believe that it is the fastest domestic speed u will ever C on ur PC's in a min it downloads approx 3.5 - 4 mb .the only problem wid dat 256 connection is that it is 850 /- with a download limit of 1GB
