hi dr_ajoshi,
I'm a MD(Psych) with one yr SR experience from a reputed institute in india. Can you kindly give me some details about the following:
Do I need 5yrs of experience(including 3yrs MD training period) to be elligible for application to specialist post?
Whether they recommended further training/supervised clinical practice.
Which will be better -to contact recruitment agencies/concerned hospitals.
Were you exempted from IELT or any other english language test?
What is your personal opinion about the likely job situation in the next few yrs?
thanking you in anticipation,
gobcee.

Quick Scroll Future for docs in Australia is good. 11.10.05 (2 years ago) #3

Dear Gobcee,
No I dont think you require 5 years, post MD is sufficient. Additional training or supervision depends upon the authority\hospital which interviews you. As for me I was asked just to clear my DM exam and fax them the marksheet. No I am not exempted from IELTS and shall appear in the exam. Future for docs in aus in gr8.
all the best
ajoshi.
