The research quoted on armadillos(in d link given by lazy) is for studying leprosy as a disease for which they require similar conditions, which armadillos myt provide.

Armadillos r used for raising lepromin antigen but for CULTIVATING, mouse foot pad myt be better cos d disease is self limiting and there is no loss of animal.

And guys c'mon, we have harri to support this (icon_smile.gif icon_smile.gif icon_smile.gif). In d light of all d text, supported by harri, its surely mouse foot pad..

Yeah !!!!!!!! Its the foot pad of mouse.........i don't think that even where its mentioned that nine banded armadillo can be used........its not mentioned that we cultivate M.Leprae in its Footpad....or anywhere else.

guys i asked one of my friens who looked in a book exclusively on leprosy it is foot pad of mouse 9 banded armadillo is used mainly in research purposes as animal modeel
