Quick Scroll the required stuff in summary 01.28.08 (5 months ago) #173

Hi guys , from what i have understood from this thread is that the good books to be read are generally
1- kaplan series
2- kaplan audios ( you can survive without them )
3- the high yiels subject are : Pharmacology , Pathology , immunology and neuroanatomy . im not sure about Biochemistry ??
4- one need to focus more and may also read extra books and questions about the high yield subjets more than other subjects
5- other choices for extra read are : lippincot books , BRS books , Q bank , ....... all are doing well !
6- lippincoat for Biochemistry could cover the genetics stuff .

7- the subjects other than the high yield subjects should be read thoroughly , but one should not worry about them too much later on.

8- what and how much you read depends on what are your goals , time and ability . ambition is fine ,but realism is a firm fact.

please AshB , what is your comment , shower me with your love ( this is the song ) , we need your notes also icon_wink.gif

best

Quick Scroll Better to focus on one subject 01.28.08 (5 months ago) #174

hai friends

I think It is better to focus on kaplan notes only .. otherwise using more than one book for same subject can b very confusing ..

thanks a mil....is it important to rean physio n path i'm rushin thru physio n suddenly i'm feeling i'm doing it all wrong and i have only kaplan need to buy gojlan audio n path tooo...sigh ..sigh but i dont want to waste time n thinkin of may be reading kaplan for physio n path but again i dont want to waste my time readin a path book which is not good n lots say kaplan path is not good

I guess ieltsforall has a point. Kaplan notes are a package as a whole, they have things distributed over all books. But i guess Kaplan Path is not 'bad' at least and if you can listen to goljan audio carefully, it'll be an icing on the cake. But if you are yet to start patho, go for BRS patho, it's considered one of the best resources in path.

If you look around the net, you'll find links to download goljan patho.

Physio is a pretty low yield subject. Give a thorough first read to develop an understanding but don't bother about it too much later.

hi Ash B
Your suggestion for Brs is for patho only or any other subject also..?

Doc_g go thoroughly through this thread.

From what i have learnt from my recent exam experience, focuss on and master HY subjects rather than doin intensive studies.

Selective studies along with periodic analysing and improving your test taking strategies can help you a lot.
Prior stringent planning and budgeting time is the punchline.
