in my previous post i have given about lacrimal bone too as weak point -of that i saw an article somewhere in internet.......i still dont believe that one......
i posted so that u can analyse and find its credibility..
i am sure of the fact thal lamina papyracea on medial wall of orbit is the wealest part in the orbital wall!...
Bruno is absolutely right when he says skip it if u r not sure!...but that applies for the exams .......why should we skip it during preparation, when many can try to find the answer...while we wait for someone interested to post the reply by searching for the answer while we proceed with our preparation!.....someone who is free and willing!

The answer is most certainly the medial wall.
I am quoting from Grants Atlas of Anatomy
- " The fragile medial wall, formed by the papery lacrimal bone and the papery plate (Lamina papyracea) of the ethmoid bone"

The medial wall of the orbit is the thinnest and hence the weakest. The blow out fractures in the floor are more common as it is the more common side of impact, but that definitely does not make it the weakest wall of the orbit; that title still remains with the medial wall as it is the thinnest. However it is not subjected to as much trauma or impact as the floor and so the floor is misinterpreted as the weakest wall, which is not true.

If someone receives a direct hit in the region of
the orbit, the orbit will give in the weakest region, the
floor. This would be termed a “blow-out” fracture.

This is an ambiguous MCQ. It is better to leave such an MCQ and move on to the next (as Bruno has also said). No need to get into controversies, won't fetch marks.
Basically the Medial wall is the thinnest (the lamina papyracea of the ethmoid) but because of the mechanics of the blunt injury by an object (>5cm in diameter) the brunt is taken by the floor which is also a thin area of the orbit. The medial wall is made up of 4 bones, not 2 as mentioned in
There can be blow out # of the floor as well as of the medial wall. There is also an entity known as a Blow in #, in which the contents of the maxillary sinus and Inf rectus get sucked into the orbital cavity through a # of the floor.
Few references follow, there are lots but no need to get into them !
