IF the q is HYPERINTENSE: then the answer is all. If u are asking HYPOINTENSE- then the answer is none. coz all the above are hyperintense on T1W

High signal on T1W MRI:

Normal:

1) post lobe of pituitary
2)moving structures : flow related enhancement
3) ossification of the falx
4) calcification within basal ganglia
5) rathke's cleft cyst
6) fat

pathological:

1) hemorrhage
2) thrombus
3) fat: lipoma. dermoids may also have high fat content
4) proteinaceous fluid: eg: craniopharyngioma, colloid cyst
5) melanin
6) heavy metals: eg: manganese in TPN & wilson's dis

ref. harri pg 2351 & 2353:

structures containing more water , such as CSF & edema, have long T1 & T2 relaxation rates, a LOW signal intensity on T1W images & high signal intensity on T2W images

Fast flowing blood returns no signal (flow void) on routine T1W or T2W spin echo MR images.

I cld not find for hemosiderin! But iif the q is framed correctly, then the answer shld be all of the above (d)

ans : a)

Holoprosencephaly is a complex intracranial abnormality characterized by absent or incomplete cleavage of the Prosencephalon

MC chromosome invloved is Chromosome 13

Recurrence risk after an isolated case of holoprosencephaly with normal chromosome is 5-6%

Complete or partial failure in division of the developing cerebrum (Prosencephalon) into hemispheres and lobes results in the Holoprosencephalies.

Alobar form is rare malformation consisting of large Holospheric Brain. Alobar holoprosencephaly is characterized by nearly complete lack of ventricular and hemispheric cleavage.

Brain parenchyma shows Horseshoe or Boomerang configuration
