hi yaar

its pretty easy to get in the Army as Doctors, you have short service commission, where in you can come back after gaining five yrs of experience...or else you could extend it to 10 years or more if u r interested to stay back till higher ranks like colonel or brigadier.

I have seen the adds for the same in the times of india and the hindu, but u could mail in the below and ask them directly

hi bkcdc

congrats for getting thru ssb interview..., i know its not very easy stuff to do...i mean though i know its more of psychological test...

i tried twice, but couldnt make it, but my brother could make it, now is he Lieutenant in the Indian Army. icon_biggrin.gif

well now if you get thru the merit lists, u will be definitely asked to undergo a tough training in the officers training academy or Indian military academy...

it would be for a yr, then finally they would usually give three choices for u to select, like whether is it corp of signals, or infantry, or artillary or engineering depending whether u are in to technical or non technical...

but usually they give according to vacancy and need...

i am sure, once u get into the training u will automatically gain knowlegde on the above...

all the best

Quick Scroll Hi Everybody 09.21.06 (1 year ago) #10

Hi Everybody,

There is always a dilemma for all the guys who have recieved the joining letter for SSC wheather, they should join the armed forces or continue their PG preparation.

I had been in the armed forces for the past 05 yrs and now i'm busy preparing for the PG entrances.

when i received my appointment letter i was really elated to join but when i think back from now i really regret for having stopping my studies after recieving the letter and joining the armed forces. Had i not done that mistake , may be today i would have been a specialist in some subject.

i would advice the just passed guys to prepare for the PG entrances right now. Give a try for atleast 02 years and then if you're not left with any other hope, only then you think of joining armed forces as the interview is very easy to clear and you can try as many times as possible at a later date.
