I think the organ is lung..1st one looks like anthracosis(black pigments seen)..2nd is like grey hepatisation and 3rd is like red hepatisation(as seen in pneumonia)????Im guessing it cuz its a lung that looks like a liver lol

I agree with Hepatization... but could this possibly showing the 4 stages of hepatization, skipping the first stage of congestion and then??

2. Red Hepatization on the far right

3. Gray Hepatization in the middle

4. Resolution stage as the first one?? or would you stick wiht anthracosis

the more i look around i think this may be liver.. the one on the far right looks like the hyperemic congestion of the liver due to heart failure.. the one in the middle would be nutmeg liver.. and the one on the left could be hemoseriden deposits.. or maybe even alcoholic liver????

Or i could be way off base...

yes it looks like a liver also thats why I thought it was a pic of hepatisation...but as u say theres no sign of any bronchus or big vessels so I cant assure u that its a lung and at the same time there isnt any other impressions to point towards liver..maybe its a hepatomegaly and so looks like that...

Pathgeek how did u get this picture?
