Corrected transposition of great arteries (L-TGA)

• Transposition of great arteries
• inversion of ventricles

The connection between the RA and LV and between the LA and RV essentially corrects the problem caused by the transposition of the great vessels. Thus, this lesion is also known as "corrected transposition."

asso with :

• Perimembranous VSD
• Pulmonic stenosis
• Anomaly of tricuspid valve
•Dextrocardia - high incidence.
• conduction disturbances: atrioventricular

CXR

• LA enlargement
• Abnormal heart contour; "waterfall" appearance with left heartborder boxlike, straightened and prominence of the R pulmonary hilum with displacement medially and superiorly.
"Premier" sign of inapparent pulmonary trunk in a rightward posterior position

Echocardiography

• Original LV on right side
• Original RV on left side
