No offence! but i found it too mediocre to be called inspiring.
A clean typical regional (movie)entertainer, nothing more, nothing less.

Hi Rhia.....i’m never offended if someone doesn’t opine with my views....after all...on a movie Cos we all have different tastes...that applies to movie n life as well
I’ll tell you why i found this movie inspiring....any movie that makes you laugh from start to end(and yet can convey a message) and any movie devoid of obscenity and vulgarity......i’d call it inspiring.....cos its very hard to please the mass without the typical masala. And any movie that conveys any offbeat message......would call that inspiring too.
SS had these ingredients:decency, laughter and a message delivered in a novel way....but after saying it all...an Indian movie is an Indian movie.Cant expect too much....and i dont hve much expectations as i used to have before. We keep changing you know....
But there was a time when i did not have this definition for inspiring movie.Few years back....a movie had to be realistic,a lot flawless and full of meaning from start to end....to call it inspiring.So....if you did not find this movie.....inspiring.....i fully agree with your view point!
In Indian society, parents are the selfless people.....they sacrifice everything for their children....they know what’s best for their kids.....and their decisions for their kids are always right cos they entertain only good, selfless thoughts when planning for their kids.
All that this movie says.....parents are right but kids too(even if stupid).....they are selfless too cos they sacrifice a lot by living up to their/giving up their dreams....they are responsible too....atleast they could be given the decision making in two major things of their life –one career and another marriage....and their ideas and choices even if stupid could be respected cos they are grown up individuals at one stage......when parents could leave their hands for a while...stop being over –protective and allow their kids to be themselves.Afterall the kids got a heart and mind too.....if the parents brought them up right and trusted their up-bringing!
Hey Rhia....i liked the dialogues in the movie(but i wont say they were perfect)....especially between the father and son in the end. Both do not try to blame one another though they totally disagree with their viewpoints of love and life.
In real life,no dad will accept a dil....so funny. But whats funny n nonsensical to a dad is bubbly n full of love for life to a son.
The storyline is lot cinematic and with flaws.....but the essence of the movie is what i found inspiring.
SS movie is about an ordinary guy called Santhosh S with a simple/grand thinking:"I'll give up for my parents on little, little things but it will be my choice on career n marriage".An imperfect guy with an imperfect dad...... an imperfect bonding......and yet a beautiful relationship. That’s it,rhia.....and last but not the least....this movie touched me.....for personal reasons.Maybe,i am even biased by calling this movie....inspiring.
You never know how movies move you and how real life could be seen reel

Not all art movies/ documentary movies are Good, and not all good movies are art movies. Such a misconception.
