Hi there! I am also residing in Dubai. I am planning to give my MRCPCH In Sep. 2006. One of my friends said that for MRCPCH 1 Part A we need to read the MRCP basic science textbook. For the others I have no idea.

hi well that's great now we are two n hopefully there will be more plp joining our group...well about what u said yeah i heard that too from a doctor i contacted n he advised reading the book basic like u said but then again he had given his exam a long time ago n i have heard that the pattern has changed n another friend of mine gave it twice last year n she told me it was now as general paeds n clincial paeds

i have short listed a couple of books n u can mail me on

hi iman i have spoken to a couple of doctors in mafraq hosp where i did my internship and as far as NELSON textbook is concerned i was told that it is only a reference book and not a must have besides i dont think it wud be such a great idea...u can call me on 4276566 if u have more queries

I also want to join u, i am preparing for MRCPCH on September....
About Nelson text book it is very good reference but to study all the topics from it that will be confusing I think so,,,there r other books as Essentials of Nelson it is very good in Paediatrics ,

i agree nounay ur right that to study from the text book would be too much n confusing and yeah the essentials should be a better choice...btw r u based in dubai..if yeah v shud get in touch more regularly n work out study schedules
