a plan for 2008 match:

if ur starting studying now,take step1 by nov. 2006.

then take step2 ck by april-may 2007.

apply for visa & take CS before july 15th 2007.

depending upon how long a visa u get,take step3 by september & apply for matching.

try for observerships in the meantime.

I wanted to ask u something, how much kaplan's Cds add to the text. Are they truley essential n how.
Its difficult fro me to get hold of the Cds, I have complete notes.Can u suggest me how to compensate for the Cds.

see.....for patho., kap. isnt such a good idea as i've said repeatedly. try doin goljan or BRS for that.

neuroanatomy videos make it a bit easier for u....well it did for me as i find the CNS a tough nut,always have.

apart from that....i have heard there is a usmleworld for step1 nowadays too.....should be good...considering they've been planning about it for 2 yrs and their past reputation.

for behavioral sc. videos are quite good.

surgery is tough......tougher than medicine which in itself has become really tough.
so be mentally prepared to take other specialties or to do surgery in india.
