trivandrum is the bst college in keral for RADIODIAGNOSIS

Calicut----RD

Not recognised -MD
u ll need a DNB for out of state practice
reason for lack of recognition--- no MRI and ofcourse lack of staff
Once dr vasu has retired staff has become just two or three

RD dept is not able to cater the needs of patients of the college and many a time we had to send many pts to private imaging centres...
But experience is aplenty..
DMRD is good and i m not sure about its recognition status

one of my seniors whose dream is to become a interventional cardiologist has taken MD rd in tvpm.
thats coz he says he can get interventional radiology in tvm..

DOESNT A DM CARDIO PERSON GET TO BE AN INTERVENTIONAL CARDIOLOGIST! CAN A MD RD DOC BE ONE? IS THAT POSSIBLE?

i heard that soon in future a DM interventional cardio cant alone perform the interventional procedure,he wud need the assistance of an inter ventional radiologist by his side..That wud be legally safe for pvt hospitals.DM in interventional radiology is what he is aiming for..I dont know whether he could go for fellowship/mnams type degree in int cardiology.

may be we need an investigation on this!!!
