one of my friend is suffering after finishing mdrd from manipal-katmandu university ..its been 6 months ..he is not getting job any where ..he was hoping atleast he will get a place in manipal but the HOD of the dept declared that he is not going to take any pgs who are graduated from katmandu university inspite of there short staff eventhough they have vacant posts ..they also gave advert in the news paper for registar posts sttill no luckk 4 my friend ..so think guys before u join atleast the second batch ..now its only a year but finally its ur whole career infront of u ...

In this regard i would lik KU PG pass outs of previous batches to share there expeirences and opinion for the best of our interest...

I think the information you got is only partially correct, as that MDRD you are speaking about is known to me also. He tried to join there after passing exams only to get good exposure from there as the equipment there is excellent and work is good. but not for money. He was rejected at manipal hosp, bangalore due to the policy of the dept, since it is a corporate hospital. But fact is he had very good offers outside from many private hospitals. HE WAS NEVER DESPERATE OF GETTING NO JOB ANYWHERE. Its not true to say that he is job less. one other doc cleared in the same batch (ie, march 2008) had an offer of 1 lakh per month in vizag which he rejected due to much better plans that he had. He was offered a job by his own Head of the department.

Friends, please do not spread false / incomplete news. those getting radiology should probably join. Because one like me who did not get any, knows the value of it. i also warn the docs reading these blogs that some people may also try to discourage the course for their personal benefit. for more details of types of blogs and bloggers, you can refer the dedicated blog sites by the RXPG members.

im not discouraging any one but it happened to my friend . so i just gave my opinion ..its ur personal interest to join or not ..i personally looked for joining this course initially but wasnt interested finally after discussing everything .and now i dont think its worth discussing any thing bcos everybody is getting offended ..i dont gain any thing out of doing this .
