Quick Scroll what's the big deal 06.22.08 (1 month ago) #137

i don know why even now people make so much fuss about taking surgery by gals n all,i think it's too common now that one shud stop discussing such things,if u have interst in a branch n u see u r satisfied with wahtever scope it has jus go for it,remember even if u choose Gynae and earn alot when u liked surgery u'd never be at peace with urself, while u'l be at peace even with minimum earning when u do the subject of ur choice,'m saying this coz i've seen frustation even among the most established surgeons etc who din do what they liked,go for it if u want, girl n boy is too minor a thing to conecrn an educated person.

Absolutely!.

But most of us docs dont show even the slighest signs of education at times.

No matter what one may say!. No matter how loud. People are still biased.
Gender discrimination still exists the same.

@ rhia..
i completely agree with you.. people r still biased.. gender discrimination is still there.. and it is really sad.. that we docs who r considered to be the most educated lot r the ones doing this...!!!

no matter how much a handful of guys say that no big deal if girls take up surgery, only the girl who treads into this male dominated proffession knows what it is..!!!
but well., i too plan to take up surgery and already sooooo many people have given me there opinion on it that it really infuriates me..!!!

i do agree with u rhia n dilpreet that gender bias still exists to a large extent but biases are no reason to choose against your will,u'l only be people's man if u go along with the mob thinking, but that won't make u happy,be waht u wanna be, if u'l listen too much ,fools won't let u live in any condition. n ya there's dearth of education in medics alot coz they equate knowledge with education.
