sowmya17, ganong i find is more consice and prescise. so it can be reffered more easily. it comes more handy 4mcqs. al the books give ganong as reference. i guess u can use guyton as a ref. book if u dont get something frm ganong.

i m more comfortable with ganong and the way it presents.

read guyton first.... esp in 1st year...
there on once u r over with guyton..... ganong is alll tat u need in physio....
i cant imagine studyin physio frm ganong, when guyton is ignored.
i dont say tat guyton is a preliminary book for physio... but if u can read ganong then guyton shudnt be a big deal.......

hey..
i think guyton is better than ganong since it is more clinical.
my favourite is tortora and grabowski.

for Anatomy moores is the best.

biochem, all books are not good, since you dont need most info in clinical practice.

hope its of help.
by the way i did my year 1 6 years ago and it was in PBL
