both are equally good books... altho i am a little biased towards guyton, coz i used it during my ug... infact i still use it to look stuff up...
i suggest u take a look at both books and decide whichever suits u better

our final destination is MD/MS.
so read it from first year.its better sowmyaji.

somwya 'ji', i guess the policy i'm folowing could appeal to u,coz its simple enough.
what i do is that the first reading that i give is to Guyton.after the basic facts hav sunk in,i read from Ganong and every subsequent revision is from ganong.although there are a lot of points that are asked in Indian PG exams which u wouldn't get in either-that's where Chaudhary comes in.i guess when i'm about to finish my MBBS,i'l read physio from Chaudhary.

s, u r correct.i completed my MBBS in rangaraya medical college kakinada.now iam in hyderabad for MD/MS preparation.
sowmya,guntur is good for cool&calm atmoshere.so many best doctors came from that college.you should proud to be a gmc student.good luck
