Congrats to all of you - idiopathy, hardcoremallu, and rhonda!

Idiopathy, may I ask do I need to sit the AMC and pass the exam before applying online? I'm new at this and I'm very inspired with what you've accomplished, congrats again!

Hope all of you out there can give me advise what to write when applying online, I'd really appreciate it!

Quick Scroll Hi all! 07.10.06 (2 years ago) #22

Hi hardcoremallu!

My job is as a Medical Officer (RMO) level-1 - i think thats in sugery, in Area of Need(AON)
I have applied for my online Long Stay Business Visa-Subclass 457, almost done my medicals, sent my application for the medical council clearance! i think thats all we need to do, & ofcourse wait for the clearance from all these guys & hope for the best!
So what abt u? where did u get ur job? where r u now & how is ur processing going on?

Hi resee

Thanks for all that! If u ask me, u should do both, prepare & also try for a job simultaneously, u see both r not related at all - of course if u clear ur exams, u will definetly get a job, but thats a long process & also costly affair!
Get a good CV with good Credentials & start applying, but i think u need to have atleast 2-3 yrs post MBBS experience for AON jobs!
Any more querries, feel free to ask ok all the best! icon_biggrin.gif

Hi Rhonda
Have you heard anything from the Wollongong Hospital yet? And what are you doing now after clearing your AMC exams?
Cheers

What they asked from me were,

1.Why do you want to come to AUS?
2. Are you going to stay in AUS?
3. What are your future plans?
4. If you are an anaesthetist and your are about to anaesthetise a patient but you get Alcohol smell from the surgeon. What would you do?
