I studied from "Biochemistry for medical students" by Vasudevan......I really liked that book...simple language and has all that you need to know for the first MBBS exams......

hi, In my 1st year i had read CRS (chatterjee ranashsinde) n i should say its really a gr8 book.very exhaustive.very good for clearing your fundas--which will be helpful to you in long run.so finally i say----CRS ROCKS !!!

if you r just interested in cleraring your UG exams with a good score then A.C.Deb or Dandekar is enough.i know many med students who had a gr8 time enjoying n did not studied much.But cleared the BIochem exams with good marks with either of the two books.

IT ALL DEPENDS ON YOUR GOALS.

i luv harper , i studied harper,lppc, chaterjea ,mushtaq n mukhtar (pk) but u know wat if u wanna cram many facts go 4 chat. if USMLE etc, than lppc, n 4 sake of enjoying knowledge with gud concepts than harper

satyanarayan is good for 1st year but for the pg you will have to do harper.

as for first year do satyanarayan properly and there is no other book you need to read.

started with satyanarayan but didn't like it much and then on being adviced by my seniors bought VASUDEVAN. found it to be really greaattttt book..it really had the capability to make a dry subject like biochen so interesting...i recommend VASUDEVAN...i feel its flowchats r the best n most informative.
