can anyone tell me where i can access the img friendly colleges, that ppl can apply to only with one or two scores??
also, if i apply with only step one and ck (expecting result in oct) and cs scheduled in november(expecting results around mid jan).. can i apply to the universities that require ecfmg certification? cos with this timetable, i expect to be certified by feb- ie before the match...

Thanks for ur kind words Munish.
As far as my idea goes, EM is a highly competitive branch these days and its one of the tougher brances to get if not the toughest.
This H1B thing is pretty subjective and i can't comment on it branch wise. Its all upto PD usually, if ur credentials n interview impress him enuf, he may sponsor H1, even though they dnt normally offer it.
Do one thing.. Go to Freida online, go to individual EM program's websites n study their program and u can always e-mail d program director or co-ordinator for further clarification and u can even ask issues like:
- Do they prefer IMGs in their program
- What u can do to improve ur chances
- will they sponsor H1B
I've heard they respond pretty decently.
Hope it helps.

Hi Tinkerbell and AshB for this information.. that is very useful!!
I want to know about one thing... I am on F1 starting from spring 2007 for MS in biomed. sc., so can I drop the course to join Residency or I have to complete it??
If I complete it in 1 year that is in December 2007, then it is possible for me to enter in 2008 Match (Provided I will complete step1, 2 and CS before September)
The Visa status will be converted to status from F1 to J1/H1b ???
This Visa hassle is really bugging me... Please help me..
and If I got J1/H1 then can I continue for fellowship with that especially J1 ro have to come back after IM residency??
Any help or opinion is really pathfinder for me!!!

One question AshB and tinkerbell.....
If someone is on J1 during residency then he can continue his fellowship on that or one has to return back after Residency?

J1 is issued for a max period of 7 years.
J1 is valid for both Residency and Fellowships.
So after residency ... if you wish to stay in the US either you choose to do a fellowship or take up a J1 wavier job.
Or else one has to return to his home country for atleast 2 years.
Hope this helps.
