hey.. i got this from a paper published by the ACOG:
The likelihood of trisomy 18 was 13.8 times greater than the a priori risk in fetuses with isolated choroid plexus cysts diagnosed in the second trimester. However, the likelihood of trisomy 21 was not significantly greater than the a priori risk with isolated choroid plexus cysts.

DEAR ANOOS,
HERE IS MY EXPLANATION.
IN MORE THAN 90 PER CENT OF CASES CHOROID PLEXUS CYST IS ALWAYS ASSOCIATED WITH TRISOMY 18[YOU AN FIND IT IN ANY STANDARD TEXTBOOK] AND FOUND IN VERY SMALL PROPORTION IN DOWN"S SYNDROME[TRISOMY 21].
THATS WHY CHOROID PLEXUS CYST DOES NOT COME AS A MARKER OF TRISOMY 21, IT IS THE CHARACTERISTIC FEATURE OF TRISOMY 18.
HOPE I CAN MAKE IT CLEAR TO YOU.
THANKX A LOT BOSS FOR MY BRAINSTORMING.
REGARDS.
