Which disease does not occur as seasonal variation:

a.measles
b.rubella
c.gastroenteritis
d.cerebal meningitis

rubella,,,,(its cyclic)

whats this CYCLIC VARIATION. CAN U EXPLAIN OR GIVE A REFERENCE ROSHAN...

cyclic trend is given in page no. 60 in park,,,,,,,,,,,,
it is under periodic fluctuation of disease,,,,,,,

but according to park, rubella occurs in a seasonal pattern i.e in temperate zones during later winter and spring, with epidemics every 4-9 years..whereas "given a chance, measles can spread in any season" icon_rolleyes.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

criteria for PERINATAL MORTALITY RATE----

1. WEIGHT > 1000 grams

2. age > 28 weeks gestation

3. if above are not known , then crown to heel length =35cm

PNR is more sensitive indicator than neonatal mortality rate as it includes still-births

>>good indicator of pregnancy wastage
>>reflects qlty and qnty of health care available

incidence--- 44 per 1000 live births

PNR= late fetal and early neonatal deaths weighing over 1000g at birth/live births in same yr * 1000
