Paper one was pretty cool icon_smile.gif . Anybody who has done the all india and AIIMS question banks must have found it easy. Second paper was a real eye opener icon_eek.gif and I am seriously reviewing my preparation for those subjects. Its really scary considering that I have only one month to go for my state entrance. icon_sad.gif
Whats interesting is that cms-2006 analysis thread has more or less same opinion abt the papers. So may be its usual for the UPSC guys to give a tough second paper. icon_wink.gif
So more reviews awaited................

Yup!It was business as usual at the UPSC xams:
Paper I-Cool as ice
Paper II-tough as nails icon_redface.gif

Funny thing, this time of the year brings the sudden and shocking
realisation that one doesn't really know much abt sucjects like Pedia
& OBG.....

Lets discuss Paper-II and c whether we can make sense of the mess !!!

Has been just checking the gynobs answers. And i think its was a combition of both few tough question and my under preparation.
And I also checked the scores of people who made it to UPSC , in one of the threads, and nobody scored more in paper 2 than one. In most cases there was a good 20 marks difference.

Although paper 2 was not so easy, it was easier to find the answers by ruling out other options.

Let's discuss the ones we found difficult.

To start with,
which one of the following deficiencies causes corneal vascularization, poor growth and photophobia
a. riboflavin
b. pyridoxine
c. niacin
d. thiamine
I'm clueless regarding this one.

Another thing friends. Any idea why the q papers were not sealed? i was surprised to see that!!

Yep even i was surprised that q papers were not sealed, even a mock test is conducted with a bit more security. Just hope there isnt anything fishy.
