2. which of the 3 royal colleges demands least years of trainig, and which one expects no trainingn the UK?
3. do i have to work in the UK to procure these degrees?
4. what is the approx expenditure involved?
Vitamin_k, ROP, and all others senior to me, who have already completed one or more steps or plan to d so in the near future, PLEASE help me build my career!

A lot depends on where u want to set up your practice.Look towards UK and FRCO if you want to practice in UK.It is'nt easy as finances and preparations are reqd.
Diploma is not bad for a Pvt practice.U could do DNB
after that at Aravind,Sankara,RP Centre.......further there are options like fellowsips(see this forum for further details).
Once u have joined ....DON"T LOOK BACK....Good Luck!!

I personally know DIPLOMA holders who are having a GOOD RUNNING Practices.
OPPORTUNITIES will be many......u need to UTILIZE Them

I need to know the difference between the F.R.C.Opth of Glascow and London...in the terms og getting Job oppurtunity in UK or training .
Also if any one knows How can I apply as a Resident in uk

.do v still get part 1 exemption after icophth.please reply

i just joined MS ophthal......... & i hav no idea watsoever of mrc, frc ophthal & sum ico u hav been mentioning......... wen is d ideal time to apply for these? & whr do i start? can any body give me a link to these sites?? btw im planning to practice in india but wudnt mind addn many degrees!!!
