Yeah... The ONLY pitfall pointed out by Daktar was the fact the more than 22.5% of MD OG seats were taken by those from Reserved Category
But Daktar has no explanation for the more than 77.5% of MS orthopaedics
, MD Paeds, MD Gen MEd, MS Gen Surgery taken by the candidates from General Category....
So by following the 100 point system, General Category has taken more than 77.5 % seats in
MS orthopaedics
MD Paed
MD Gen Med
MS Gen Surg
THis is pointed out as a "pitfall" by Daktar....
And this is the reason why I am in favour of 100 point roster and Daktar want a rotation roster that always gives the general candidates less than 77.5 % (see AIIMS
and JIPMER
and you will know the ill effects of rotation roster)
I am not able to understand what Daktar says as "pitfall" when increase in effective number of seats in the prime disciplines has happened with 100 point roster
In case of reservation by rotation roster, this IS NEVER POSSIBLE....
How can you get more than 77.5% of seats by Rotation Roster in
Paediatrics
Orthopaedics
General Surgery
General Medicine
Please Note : The percentages were worked out by Daktar himself, but he conveniently left out the Paed, orthopaedics
, Surg, Med where General Category has got more than 77.5 % of seats and was focussing ONLY ON OG where more than 22.5 % of seats have been taken by Reserved Candidates
The very fact that he had ignored the seat distribution in Paed, orthopaedics
, Med and Surgery intentionally and was misguiding the users was the reason his posts that were giving wrong impression were deleted

Can you give this list for each and every subject......
If some one can make a table like this it will be useful
For every subject...
1. No of seat available
2. Number of seats taken by SC/ST
3. Percentage taken by SC/ST
Then we can know the actual picture
We need to do this for ALL Subjects
At present we know that more than 22.5 % of OG seats have been taken by Reserved Candidates
We also know that more than 77.5 % of seats have been taken by General Candidates in orthopaedics
, Paed, Med and Surgery which is NOT AT ALL POSSIBLE with rotation roster
The complete statistics will tell the truth

100 point roster is the best thing, its an excellent system u=its superb ,it has done all the justice possible in this world ok ok now stop at this,if you have appeared 4 the counselling your self you must have realised the problem,on paper its diffrent ,but in reality its horrible,it was walkthrough when some sc st candidate used to b absent,as the slot was fixed and must go to some categ student only ,but when a ur candidate was absent his slot is marked as absent ,the reason ????they cant call 20 to 30 ur candidate in advance i hope you are getting it.

What you are pointing out is a LONE problem with the way this counselling is conducted
This I have told from day one...
This is an aberration to the 100 point roster system
You get rid of that SINGLE Clause and you will have the best system for you
Other than that, just because there was a small mistake committed by MOHFW guys, if you want to go to Rotation Roster, you are inviting for trouble.....
Please file a case against that single clause (I have given full details in the earlier posts) ..... Instead don't ask for rotation roster

Please don't equate all the problems you face in AIPG 2007 Reservation to the 100 point roster......
By the way, (as I have already told you)
I have so far attended counselling with ALL types of implementation of reservations (except affirmative action) and know the advantages and disadvantages of the system...
Remember that I come from a place where the seat available for General Category
in PG is 16%
in Government Jobs is 22%
We have all sorts of reservations.... and we have all types of ways it has been implemented....
I can tell you that the best way is the 100 point roster only...
What you are telling is true, but that is NOT the problem with the 100 point roster... It was due to a wrong clause inserted
As per the Guidelines of the 100 point roster, if a candidate is absent the next person (in the turn) takes over.
If any one represents this to the MOHFW they are sure to amend this
This should not be the reason for going to the worst system of rotation roster....
You seem to be a young guy with no idea whatsoever about these formalities
You could not even calculated the percentages properly
Sit down, relax and analyse with an objective mind and you will know the answer

Please see my earlier post...
I have been very particular about this
The problem you are pointing out is a real problem, but the solution is very simple....
If a candidate is absent, just call the next person who is on the turn
That is
IF SC Rank 1 is absent, call General Rank 7 (and not SC Rank2)
IF General Rank 12 is absent, call SC Rank 2 (and not General rank 13)
That is the way 100 point roster has to be implemented. The rules are very clear about this......
THis is a mistake done by the MOHFW guys (as they may not have conducted such counsellings previously)
If any one has given a representation, this would have been stopped....

This is a very valid point. It was heartbreaking to see category students being called and if found absent the next and if again found absent the third being called.. They effectively jumped 15-20 ranks or even more and walked off with the best available seats. Great system this!!!!!!

Has any one filed a case for this......
So far it seems no one has done....
A single day hearing is enough
In my opinion, even if a letter is send to MOHFW, that is enough
More than 10 guys in RxPG have cried loud about this system...
But none seems to have done anything proper....
Hardstone, Daktar, Srivats and others, why can't you write to MOHFW and see what their response is.
I think I have given enough all the legal points in this forum itself
If MOHFW does not give a satisfactory response, then the court can be approached.....
This is a sure "file and win" case
