Yes i like Opera very much, its my 2nd browser of choice,
but it does need some add ons! With add ons opera can match or even out perform firefox!

With add ons firefox can mimic opera icon_smile.gif

thanks very much. But let me say that this comparison didn't comment on the most important point from my view i.e speed of browsing which I think from my experience that Mozilla Firefox will wine the competition for that reason.

Well there are so many factors we need to consider while assessing browser speed. If we compare Opera 9.0,IE7 & FF2.0 windows versions without add ons, Opera is the fastest. Here's an unbiased test page.

But with certain Add ons, firefox is indeed the Fastest in windows OS.
