MICROSOFT DROPS THE WGA VALIDATION CHECK FOR IE7!

Yes you heard it right!
Microsoft have dropped the Windows Genuine Advantage check when some one tries to download IE7. That means people using non genuine windows can also download IE7!

The new step comes as a part of the 2nd browser war where IE is starting to get a competition from rival browsers like Firefox and Opera.

No Script, Flashblock & Ad Block Plus - These extensions can cause flash and ads to disappear.

If they are not installed, try the firefox tweak in this Digital Inspiration Article.

I checked that website, and my firefox is also not showing that flash animation even in safe mode! icon_smile.gif I have installed Java,Quicktime and Shockwave flash.
Interesting!
But internet explorer 7 is able to show that flash.
But the flash content from all other sites are working perfectly! May be that website is designed for the Internet Explorer engine.

Using the IE Tab extension in firefox will solve this problem very easily.

Bringing back the thread into life after a 6 month interval.

Firefox 2.0 clearly had an edge over IE7 when the last post was made in this thread(6 months back).
But now the scenario has changed with the release of Internet Explorer 8 Beta 1 and Firefox 3 Beta 5.
Both of them carry loads of tweaks.

I still feel FF 3Beta 5 is a lot better than IE8 Beta1.

yeah FF3 beta rocks..
although when the Mozilla guys SAY beta they actually MEAN beta... so it still needs some smoothing...
but I cant wait for FF3 final release coz that'll sure leave IE & FF2 to bite the dust
