Aneurysms most commonly develop in the part of the aorta that is in the abdomen. They are called abdominal aortic aneurysms. The second most common site is the popliteal artery, located at the back of the knee. Aneurysms may also develop in the part of aorta that is in the chest. They are called thoracic aortic aneurysms. Aneurysms can develop in the arteries that lead from the aorta to the leg arteries (iliac arteries), the main arteries of the pages
(femoral arteries), arteries in the neck (carotid arteries—which carry blood to the brain), and the heart's arteries (coronary arteries). Aneurysms can develop in the arteries within the brain, but these aneurysms usually cause symptoms and are diagnosed and treated before age 65.
Splenic artery aneurysms are uncommon even though they are second only to those of the aorto-iliac system.
So this suggests beyond doubt that Iliac arteries are second commonest.

out of the given options, its certainly the splenic artery. But following the most common site of AAA, its the site of iliac bifurcation with common iliac atrtery thats more frequent than the splenic.
but since they have specifically mentioned int and ext and not common iliac, the ans here is the splenic artery aneurysm.

MOST COMMON CAUSES OF ABDOMINAL ANEURYSM...................
MC-Abdominal aorta aneurysm which commonly involves the infrarenal portion of the aorta and it may extend to common iliac artery also.
COMMON ILIAC ARTERY is the 2nd common site which is involved in 90%cases and in 10% cases HYPOGASTRIC ARTERY
(INTERNAL ILIAC ARTERY) IS INVOLVED.External iliac artery is.... never..... involved in any degenerative aneurysm.
VISCERAL ANEURYSM.........itself is very rare........of course the mc type of it is SPLENIC ARTERY ANEURYSM...........so how come splenic artery aneurysm can b mc next to AAA?
mc cause of PERIPHERAL ANEURYSM IS POPLITEAL ARTERY ANEURYSM
REFR.SCHWARTZ
SO,I think ans. should be INTERNAL ILIAC ARTERY

aneurysm develops 'coz of wall tension, so in vessels with greater pressure & radius,,,,,, since the spenic artery is larger, it is prone to develop aneurysm

Absolutely! your guess is right!
Here's a text to support your answer: Ref:Townsend: Sabiston Textbook of Surgery, 17th ed, 2004
Aortic aneurysms are most commonly located in the infrarenal aorta.
Aneurysms involving the immediate infrarenal segment are known as juxtarenal aneurysms.
Suprarenal aneurysms are those that extend above the renal arteries.
Thoracoabdominal aneurysms occur in a minority of cases (2%) and involve the thoracic aorta in addition to the abdominal aorta, including the segment involving the celiac, superior mesenteric, and renal arteries.
The iliac arteries are involved in 40% of patients with abdominal aortic aneurysms.
In 90% of these, the common iliac arteries are involved, whereas 10% involve the hypogastric arteries.
The external iliac arteries are almost never involved.
Occasionally, iliac aneurysms occur in an isolated fashion.
I read in an internet article that splenic artery is the 3rd commonest site in intra-abdominal aneurysms.
Hope this would be a bit helpful, then.
