I dont know about the specific prospect of this qualification....whether or not u should take it depends on, are u really planning for PSM as your definitive career...if yes then u should take it as it would be a many of the building blocks in the career journey..i.e. your entire career does not enshrined only under the capacity of a single diploma..its a ongoing process of learning and getting bigger..e.g. diploma to Master to PhD....its possible that, due to this diploma u might end up winning a master scholarship abroad, in near future!...

In TamilNadu , Diploma in Public health or CM are in good posts in state govt in administrative jobs.

Also i heard the central govt i planning in the near future to replace the medical officer post under various health programmes with one with a degree or diploma in CM. But i don't have strong proof for this.

most of the colleges for MD PSM are not recognised by mci such as KEM ,NAIR, and JJ...BUT LTMC is recognised..

Hi,
I am all confused with the prospects of MD PSM ...I might get a seat in either MD PSM or MD Micro in Maharashtra ...but still havent got a clear idea of which to be placed above the other...can someone who has a slight bit of idea abt both fields tell me which ones better and how????...am interested in clinicals and then in research...i want to know about its future prospects too...

i am from kerala...want to take seat in this AIPGE ..first pref path...but it's very difficult to get..so i prefer PSM or micro as second...can u please tell me for a married girl ,how PSM will be...what are the job oppurtunities...except mc teaching(i dont like)who heard its extensive travel n will be very difficult to get..so out of question...my husband is an anaesthetist...do i have to go to rural areas n work or will i get job in towns....(good schools should be there)...do you have any idea about PSM in arab countries...n kerala...my councelling is in april...please help me...

I opted for MD CM in All India Institute of Public Health and Hygiene in Kolkata with my state rank.though i am waiting for 2nd counselling,if i dont get anything better i would continue with my choice.I would like some advice about how to go about in my course so that i could make a lucrative career out of this subject.I just dont want to join the govt medical education service.so could anyoneplz guide me.
