see buddy if it's ur frst attempt n u have any particular choice fr seat then look to it in previous years counselling whether u can get it or not and recog aor unrecognised, if more than that then u shud go there with some hope so that u can pick whatever u get like diplomas etc. and at last if u have no particular choice n u can get diploma etc(other than ur own choice) there n u r willing to prepare after picking up a seat(that's a crucial one) then also go there. see i don know whta rank u've got but if it's within 700 n if it's more than frst attempt then go.well nothing can be said conclusively without knowing any range in which ur rank falls.still if u have time like u r not doin any crash course etc n u r not very far then there's no harm in going.best of luck...

last yr even the third couselling ended with nothing left at around 580 as told by some reliable sources. so u can see that. best of luck
