Career as a MD Pharma

Hi! I'm a new member of rxpg. Is it possible to get MD Pharma at rank 2926 this year? I have ranked 191 in WB PG . If I opt for Pharma from my state , will it effective as same? Please help me.

I suppose u r from west bengal.
To tell u frankly it isn't of worth doing MD pharma from WestBengal
.If u go and visit the dept at RG kar ,Burdwan or even PG u can see the track record (which is very dissapointing).No clinical trials ,no pharmaceutical company placements.Most of the Pgts r busy preparing for the entrance exam once again.
I personally had talked to one of the principals who is a renouned pharamacologist in Bengal ,he also couldn't show me a ray of hope.He told me only option after passing from here is to go into the teaching line .MES is not giving any advertisement for Pharma since last 5 yrs. So option left is to join a private Medical College.
If u want to join pharamaceutical Company u should always opt for colleges in states where most of the head offices of this pharmaceuitacal compnies r placed Eg Delhi, Haryana
,Maharashtra
.
my suggeston to u is don't cmmit a blunder and spoil ur career by taking pharma in Bengal.

With 2926 rank ofcourse u can get pharma in many states including bengal becoz last yr nobody ultimately got admitted in bengal from All India and the seats came to state in 2nd counselling.So from this statistics also u can judge the scope of pharma in Bengal.

, Micro ,Radiotherapy (in very few places) in 2nd round of all India counselling

Thanks a lot , DrBobo, for your kind advice. I now personally think to preapare for another year without any attachment. This was my 1st time after doing 1yr preparation. what is your opinion?
