Hi,
In TamilNadu pg entrance, all options in pre and para clinical subjects have been reserved only for service candidates. This has lead to a previously unheard of great demand for these subjects.. It all seems to be a fallout of the supply - demand equation, thanks to the sudden surge of private medical colleges!

My feeling is that this demand will last for another decade as far as employment in the private sector as a faculty member is concerned.

A PhD will mainly be involved in a particular topic with reserch basis while an MD is required to be involved with clinical Microbiology and the patients specimens and their results.
