hi,
after MD Micro u can pursue purely diagnostic Microbiology in a laboratory or a hospital set up. also infection control now is a important aspect that microbilogists are required to deal with. so teaching is not the end but I think only thr beginning as you wud like to pursue topics u find interesting to be pusued by ur students someday!

well dr..i am too planning to take up micro either in sms,jaipur or in delhi....i think its a good branch with good prospects of going abroad

there are lot of apportunities after md micro abroad.in fact the appotunities are more for md micro abroad than any clinical subject. There are apportunities in dubai,Canada ,us and london.you can refer to any english news paper like times of india for more details.

i m pursuing md Microbiology from vp chest institute...my teachers have really motivated me to continue it..they r upbeat about the future prospects in new emerging infectious disesaes..plus u can also set up ur own lab...
