guys u r ignorant about the numbers appearing.... in nov AIIMS 07 the number appeared was 19500, after subtracting the first roll number from the last, and the number qualified was 3357, to be precise.
And in all india 2008, the number appeared was 80,000 plus, the number crossed 50 pc is 4000. the 80 thou figure from the person who was conducting the counselling.
I crossed 50 pc in nov 07, got on the list in all india 08, but not crossed 50 pc this time... prep does matter, i had been snoozing the past month or so. stuff we read is too volatile. what say....

So i can say,

nov AIIMS 2007 :
```number of ppl appeared = 19500
```number of ppl qualified = 3357

may AIIMS 2008 :
```number of ppl appeared = 12950
```number of ppl qualified = 2565

[so, though (as i feel) nov 07 AIIMS paper was very difficult compared to may 08 AIIMS , the ratio of ppl appearing:qualifying remains quite comparable]

astral, my opinion is quite opposite yours. Personally, i found nov AIIMS 07 much easier than this AIIMS ... I qualified the nov AIIMS , and did not qualify this one, tho i think i was better prepared this time... but as u say, the statistics are quite comparable for both exams, perhaps there was not so much difference after al..

well friends i got 69.5%,rank24

i predicted 68-69% & i got very close to it,

i m very sure some gross negligence occured in AIPG08,
i was expecting a minimum of 65% & i got 58%,i just can't believe it.
v all must figfht to ensure more transperancy in exam.
our omr sheets are just a piece of waste paper for them,& untill they are held responsible,they won't take this task seriously,anybody of us can be a victim of thr carelessness
