oooo....many ...to start with my first yr PG....when I put atropine instead of lignocaine 4% for tonometry.........it was "lightening" by my HOD

heard of similiar experiences .....I remember giving peribulbar block to the wrong eye ( wrongly marked and wrongly dilated by the nurse in charge). My Boss stopped my OT for 2 weeks.

dilated instead of constricted pupil pt waiting for PI for acg!! someone in the op did it..didnt know who

prof was mad at all of us..
waited with bated breaths till the pupils came back to normal..looking for signs of a/c attack

after pc tear -prof helped me put an iol on the remaining pc rim..was stable on table..

next day...lo and behold..here was a titanic..
had to run to retina and vitreous dept with patient

was demostrating to my juniors how easy a peribulbar is and how quick ..
and how smoothly it goes..

was just breezing thru it ..

and ..oops i had rbh...for the first time ..after 2 yrs of blocks!

Well..list goes on and on..
RBH after two years
Run off of rhexis in a case I was supposed to do my first phaco.
Closing imagenet programme without saving the DFA pictures.
and..the recent..
Inserting MVR knife away from pars plana..

Remember this patient who really really suprised ..had +10D sph post uneventful surgery...thought it was a biometry error...planned for IOL exchange ....and loo saw the "dislocated" IOL sitting peacefully down due to a zonular dialysis...PC was INTACT!!No vitreous loss
