If i am not wrong CE 1 is after MCCQE 1 only, not before that.I cant understand why not Canada
operates these exams the way USA does; where u can take any exam in any sequence except step 3.Going thru this procedure even if u are thru it as first timer always, wud minimum takes 2 yrs or more .That is very frustrating. And provincial left hand doesnt know what right hand is doing , MCC operates different , then IMGO , Cephea , bla bla, there is not one common platform to get all you need to know, needless to mention the ambiguity of info of exam pattern of SWE.I havent so far seen a single person who has written path exam.

Hi Siyaa
For CE1 you need a pass standing on MCCEE and a confirmed exam date for MCCQE1. For score reporting you need a pass standing on MCCQE1. For example, you may apply for fall MCCQE1 and at the same time apply for Aug-Sept CE1. You would be getting the scores for both the exams during the last week of December or early January. This is my understanding of the system.
But the only problem here is that CaRMS file evaluation starts before the scores are available. But the scores are ready by the time of interview so this isnt a big problem.
But I must say taking these two exams just one to two months apart is really stressful. Especially because the two exam formats are entirely different. And if you plan to write SWE and CE2, then you end up writing 4 exams in a row!! If not then you end up waiting for two years just for the exams!!!
Still I should say the system is actually getting better. In the past CE1 was offered just once a year. they changed it to twice this year.
