i'll go for option b)

In obesity , there is DECREASED INSULIN RECEPTORS & PERIPHERAL RESISTSANCE AGAINST INSULIN ACTION.

insulin is necessary to keep the bld glucose WNL.
The pancreas responds to insulin resistance by producing more...HIGH LEVELS OF PLASMA INSULIN. As long as the pancreas can produce enough insulin to overcome this resistance , bld glucose levels are WNL.Onz the pancreas can no longer cope up with producing high levels of insulin ,bld glucose level begins to rise---> TYPE II DM .
