Why thread authors are not given moderator status of the thr
Why thread authors are not given moderator status of the thread they started? like in many social networking websites (orkut, fb, etc.)?

I think the one starting the topic should have rights to delete unnecessary double/ triple posts (some post exactly the same thing multiple times) to decrease the clutter.
Some end up writing the most irrelevant things, god only know 4 wat! All such posts should be able to be deleted...

& they shud have the right to edit posts even after 90min (minor edits) so the links, etc can be updated like in many other forums.
