In the morning due to increased steroids in the body(diurnal variation) the temp is low........... that is a normal phenomenon and what we see in TB is an exaggeration of the normal phenomenon

In normal persons........... Morning Normal Temp, Evening Normal Temp

In Febrile Illness....... Morning Fever, Evening MORE fever or Morning LESS Fever... Evening Fever

In TB (or any chronic infections) Morning No Fever and Evening Fever

In short,

there is an anti inflammatory effect in the morning........ THis is just enough to bring down the temp in TB.......

Tell me whether this has helped you (or confused you)

For every 1 degree rise in temp, there is 10 number rise in heart rate...............

If the heart rate does not rise by 10 beats/minute for every 1 degree rise in temp, this is relative bradycardia........... In fact it is a tachycardia, but "not-tachy-enough"cardia icon_wink.gif icon_lol.gif
