as we all know that editions of books we read while preparing for entrance exams keep on changing...
its not possible for each one of us to go through all the new editions and update ourselves with the fresh knowledge....of course we can,but it will take a lot of time at this crucial moment...
at the most we can come across the most promonent changes....
but we all can solve this problem....
each one of us who comes across the changes while reading the new editions can post a reply on this site...and rest others can come to know about it...

Trt:of ankylosing spondylitis
>AS shows good response to anti TNF alpha therapy...
>Drugs use ful in AS are
1.Infliximab(anti TNF alpha monoclonal AB)
2.Etanercept(p75 TNF alpha-IgG fusion protein)
>most common measure of disease activity in AS is BASDAI (.e. Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Disease Activity Index)
>drugs potentially useful in AS are
*pamidronate
*thalidomide
*alpha rays emitting isotope Ra 224.

WHO grade III,IV and V lupus nephritis need treatment (aggressive immunosuppression).because majority of untrted patients develop ESRD in 2 yrs.
