Hey people out there!! What should I do right from my first year of mbbs to secure a good rank in AIPGE as well as AIIMS PG????? Also tell me some good books to prepare above exams. Thank you

new medical college
as per my rank i have joined a medical college (govt) which started last year .i have heard that it does not have good faculty. so i am really worried.are all my dreams of becoming a good doctor shattered or can i still makeup by reading good books?

A bit of hard work. read books. See cases - as much as you can manage. And there will always be atleast one teacher/post graduate to help u out. Confirm physical findings with them/ study from case sheets.

you will be a good doctor. dont worry.

dude..chill.. let the new exm pattern come out..if so all the mcq books nw will be useless!

build ur basics. dont go after mcq books nw.

anat - chaurasia ; keith l moore - ref only.
physio - ganong.
biochem - lippincott.

these are enuf for nw.

Aim USMLE Step 1

the books above mentioned were good but i will recommend a set of books...just check those out they r really good...please refer to those atleast once and u'll get to know abt it

anatomy: b.k tandon (it is really sufficient)
physiology: venketeshwara (u'll get basic concept n thorough in short answers)
biochemistry: seetharamaiah chittiprol's "instant notes for medical student"
clinical anatomy:vishram singh

u'll do better if u get aid of these books...all d very best
