Yes, start clinics from 2nd year; and complete it as far as you can.
Go to the patients + read S. Das's clinical Surgery + Bedside Clinics in Medicine by Arup Kumar Kundu. These are a must.
You may look thro' other clinical books from your library but start it now.
Davidson for medicine theory, & not Harrison at this stage.

2nd yr is the best time to start clinical books. Thanx to Medicos100 for his/her clear opinion. And to go to clinical classes.

i think form 2nd year we should take over clinical subjects to increase basic knowledge.

Baily & loves- surgery

Medicine----macleod- clinical medicine
davidson-medicine

G & O ------ dutta

Pedi ------- Molla

I found Current Medical Diagnosis & Treatment (CMDT) helpful for Medicine.
