well for any research job......
i mean based on the qualifications and subject to avaliability of the vacancies in various reserach projects at various institutes- hospitals and dedicated reserach institutes
best place to find such opportunities is to check the advertisement boards for the said institutes. or contact the principle investigators of various projects.
once you submit your application within the deadlines you may be called for the interview if deemed fit for vacancy ....
after the interview your performance will decide whether you 'll be part of the research job or not.
but just a sneaking preview here is that usually the investigators would prefer their acquiantances to be inducted in the projects (due to obvious reasons...like the confidentiality of the project etc.) hence though the comparable emoluments may not be as high as the house job or residency still it may not be an easy walk getting into the reserach job..
more over u need to be dedicated with relevant knowledge about computer(like microsoft office applications)
besides you need to have a penchant for research , i would advice not to join any such job just for the sake of getting the experience for CV., coz if you don't like it then may be you would develop an aversion for it for rest of your career.
bottom line is... the returns may not be as high as normal clinical post in research. hence perseverence is the key for sustenance....
as i think something is better than nothing hence any experience whether clinical or research gonna add to the CV and finally make it strong enough
other suggestions and queries are welcome
.

Well said vineet- research as a career is a different ball game altogether. Someone have to have fascination and true love for it before considering it as the career. Need to put a lot of input to it and dont expect satisfactory return all the time, got to be patient . But someone prevailing this strenuous path may excel in it like anything.
And for the beginners not only it requires computer knowledge but more importantly reasonable elementary knowledge in research methodology, epidemiology, statistics ( eg. Biostatistics
) and data analysis softwares ( eg. SPSS, Epi-info etc).

WELL FRIEND,
MONEESH HIMSELF HAD BEEN MY COLLEAGUE AND FRIEND HENCE WE DISCUSSED IT IN PERSON...
AS FOR THE DELAYED REPLY HERE I GUESS THE THREAD GOT DEEP BURIED UNDER LOADS OF OTHER THREADS UNTIL THE ACTIVE SURVEILLANCE OF THE RXPG TEAM SPOTTED IT.....AFTER WHICH THE SAID REPLY COULD BE POSTED HERE..
I WOULD CERTAINLY LIKE TO SECOND SHUVO'S ADVICE OF APT KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE RESEARCH METHODOLOGIES AS WELL, IF YOU WANT TO MAKE IT A CAREER..
BUT IF IT APPEARS DAUNTING DON'T BE DISHEARTENED BY IT BECAUSE AT INITIAL LEVEL AS A SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW(SRF) YOUR MAJOR PROFILE WOULD BE IDENTIFYING, SEGREGATING THE CASES, COLLECTING RELEVANT DATA AND MANTAINING THE RECORDS WHILE MUCH OF THE ANALYSIS WOULD BE DONE IN THE Biostatistics
DEPARTMENT....
THOUGH ANYTIME SUCH KNOWLEDGE IS GOING TO ENHANCE THE RESEARCHING SKILLS- .......
SO IT MIGHT NOT BE MANDATORY BUT DESIRABLE AS WE NORMALLY SAY......
FURTHER INPUTS AND QUERIES ARE MOST WELCOME TO REVIVE THIS EVER SO NEGLECTED SPHERE.....
GOOD LUCK
