The list is complete & beneficial for everybody. Thanx.
Only, I think, one should read Davidson for Medicine & not Harrison (managing Harrison at our level is really difficult). And the clinical part in Surgery is by Das & for Medicine it is Kundu.

Gynae by Dutta is also a nice book.
I fully agree with 'Clinical books' mentioned by Usha 21.
Medicine by Kumar & Clark is also a good book.

hi but i can say that if you have time to read then first of all you should complete surgery, love and bailey and s.das surgery books if time persist, this is my opinion but you can do as you wish

and for paedia its ghai thats enough, dont rush behind the nelson which is almost impossible to complete at ug level.

and for medicine you can best go for harrison, but optional you can do davidson too,or finally some senior notes

for medicine kumar and clark might also helpful if time persist as it requires a thorough revision rather than exclusive reading all the topics,go for important and exam oriented topics.thanks

i agree surgery is a subject which is easier to finish compared to medicine...and having done that you can easily go for detailed study of medicine in fourth year...

Any idea about books on Clinics?

drgeek1234

These are standard textbooks, esp if u have pre pg in your mind, I agree matthews, CMDT or davidson are good for ug level but one has to go through harrison's at least for some selective topics, same way ghai will do for pedia, but during internship it becomes a lot difficult to cover these large books if you haven't already read them once during ugs. But one should keep in mind the level of preparation and the time available.
As for clinics here are some suggessions:
medicine: hutchinson, kundu, algappan
surgery: s das
paed: chedda
and for rest of the subjects I think you don't need a separate book for clinics, the standard theory books will do.
Hope this helps.
