Clomiphene is a drug of choice in
a. endometrial carcinoma
b. stein leventhal syndrome
c. dysmenorrhea
d. metropathia hemorrhagica

one is out of question
two is a good choice if the lady complains of infertility and wants it rectified
three is a preposterous choice
four clomiphene is the drug of choice in the young woman with metropathia wishing to become pregnant but shawa also says on the same page that progesterone is most effective.

so whats the answer?????and whats your favorite number 2 or 4.............

if i gotta solve this question SUDDENLY,as im doing it now n will be doing it on the D-DAY,i wud go for clomiphene as the DOC for stein levinthal syndrome.

the reason b'cos not only dat it hepls in those infertile pts. but also dat it will relive the pts of so many other symptoms assoc with the dis.,viz regularizing her cycles,decreasing the virilizing effects of syndrome,
improving her insulin sensitivity.

and everywhere it is mentioned dat clomi is the choice for PCOD.

for metro. hgica,clomiphene is used but not as a first line of treatment.
as far as i remember(& u say!) dat progesterones are the first line.

shall cum with more solid proof,if I get!

solid proof........went around the Gynae deptt putting up a pop quiz to anybody who came across.
unanimously everybody said clomiphene.

till somebody else digs up old skeletons,,,,,,matter laid to final rest.
