Hurricane Sandy and Hurricane Nilam - Potential impact on RxPG
As many of the regular visitors would know, RxPG datacenters are based on the east coast in US. In the past two days, they have narrowly escaped the disruption caused by Hurricane Sandy. However we are still monitoring the situation and will update evreyone on our twitter feed if the datacenter runs out of power and our servers goes down (though it is unlikely to happen). We would advice everyone to subscribe to our feed at twitter (@RxPG).
Hurricane Nilam is going to hit Chennai this evening, where our support center is based. It might be possible that our support center might be taken offline by the broadband or electricity disruptions due to hurricane. This might have an impact on our ability to answer support requests sent to support[at]rxpg.com or abuse reports in a timely manner. We would advice everyone to be patient in that case, as we would eventually act on each and every support request. We would again update you on twitter and in this thread, if that happens.
Fortunately our corporate HQ in Delhi is not affected by adverse weather and we are coordinating everything from there.
