Is it really necessary to read Robbins ?
Do we really have to read Robbins ?

It is all so confusing and not straight to the point !

UNANSWERED: Nerve muscle physiology

Aim AIPGE 2014

robins is must
yes it is of course very necessary to do robbins esp if u r in 2nd year though it is quiet confusing in rhe begining but we are in medical feild where practice matters in short repeated revision will help you clear your confusion
For 2nd prof students all the subject are important from pg point of veiw and to get good hold of your prep its necessary to read basic standard books which are robins for patho kdt for pharmac anantnaryan for micro and reddy/parekh for forensic
as this subjects form back bones of major subjects in ur final year they must be dealt with thoroughly in 2nd year itself

thank you icon_smile.gif

And which is better for forensic ? Reddy or Pilli ?

every college has these "kunjis" (=key), either at the local book shop or with seniors.

Robbins is awesome! If you take shortcuts now, what are you going to do for PG?

S/he doesn't need to prepare for PG, they are preparing for USMLE, so no need to waste time reading bulky books

even for Indian pG, no need for robbins, there are plenty of review books

Cunningham's Manual of Practical Anatomy
Completely redesigned in an attractive new format, this popular three-volume manual provides students and practitioners with a comprehensive guide to human anatomy and a dissection guide recognized throughout the world.
